The week began with Carla Zampatti, one of Australia’s most iconic fashion houses, celebrating its 60th anniversary with a stunning outdoor show in front of Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art. The brand’s new creative director, Tanya Emon, brought a fresh vision to Zampatti’s signature glamour — mixing bold colour, elegant silhouettes, and playful elements like feathers and sheer panels. The collaboration with local designers, including Michael Lo Sordo, added extra depth to the celebration of legacy and future.
This year, Australian Fashion Week 2025 took on a new shape. Now led by the Australian Fashion Council and presented by Shark Beauty, the event embraced a more focused, thoughtful, and industry-driven approach. The shows were invite-only, with an emphasis on international buyers and media.
