It was a visual dialogue between heritage and contemporary form. The man’s look is based on a traditional Agbada, reinterpreted in a contemporary context. The women’s look — a modern interpretation of the traditional West African wrapper styled with a sculptural corset and a sheer red veil.
For this project, as a team we focused on building a visual space where the garments could interact naturally with the environment. The large industrial studio gave us the scale to work with light, architecture, and composition.
